Turangawewae festival

I think the Turangawewae festival is famous.

We had jump jam and the pool was open and bouncy castle.

I enjoyed it.
It had a rock climbing wall.
We had zumba.

BOOK WEEK

We have book week because kids like to find new characters. The arranger was Becky.

Sub Antarctica.

David came to talk to room 4 and 3 about the sub Antarctic islands. It was interesting and my favourite animal in sub Antarctic is the king penguin. The king Penguin's colours are yellow white and black.

ROTOITI

On Tuesday 22nd of May we went to Rotoiti it was fun. Peta was a lady who work at the Lake Rotoiti.
Peat showed aus around the Lake and then we split up in to groups. And then we went around the Lake.

TREASURE ISLAND

This story starts in the Admiral Benbow, an inn. Jim Hawkins (played by Quin) works there. Billy Bones (played by Shanti ) comes to stay. He has a chest full of treasure. He was once a pirate, a member of Capain Flint's crew. He is visited by Black Dog (played by Stevie )who fights him. Then the evil Blind pew (played by Sasha ) comes and scares him to death.

Jim gets the map. He gets the Goodies, Dr Livesey (played by Charlie ) Squire Trelawney (played by Sarah), Mr Dance (played by Shannen ) and they hire a ship called the Hispaniola. The captain is Captain Smollett (played by Makayla ) who gets Long John Silver (played by Madison ) to collect a crew. Long John Silver is evil and one of Captain Flint's pirates. He collects all the other pirates and away they sail.

On the trip Jim hears of a plot to kill the goodies and take the treasure them selves. When they get to the island the Goodies go to the ship. The baddies go in search of the treasure. An old pirate called Ben Gunn (played by Zion ) who has been marooned, arrives and joins the goodies.

Jim takes off and sails the ship around the island. The pirates have nowhere to go. There's a big fight. The pirates are winning until they hear Ben Gunn who they think is a ghost of Captain Flint. Ben Gunn screams horribly.

They all run away and the goodies find the treasure and sail back to England.

My favourite part .Was when we sang .

OLYMPICS

The Olympics were in London this year . One of my stars of the Olympics is Valerie Adams. Valerie Adams got a gold medal. Valerie Adams got a silver but the girl who got the gold medal was taking drugs so Valerie Adams got the gold medal. New Zealand got 6 GOLD 2 SILVER and 5 BRONZES. My favourite part in the Olympics was when Valerie Adams won a Gold medal.

JASON IS HAVING FUN

I like rock Da house. It is fun our. Teacher is Miss Kenny and we have John and Paulette too. And we have a band too. My song's I like is ONE DAY and THE BAD HAIR DAY. And SOMETHING IN THE WATER.Our soloist are Makayla and Jason . It was fun and we did it on Thursday night the 30 of August 2012. The show went well and it was at night time.The soloist were good too. Makayla sang WE ARE THE WORLD and Jason sang FALLING SLOWLY which was cool too We had rock Da house in the Memorial hall and we had 200 people in the hall.

I learned that in the old days Toothpaste was made out of Tobacco and Honey and they were mixed together. Last week we had a big lunch. It was yummy.

WINTER TOURNAMENT

On Friday the 14 room 3 and 4 went to the rec centre for Winter tournament. And I played netball for winter tournament . We played 11 games and we won a game too. Our winter tournament games were Netball Hockey Rugby Soccer. Netball was at the rec centre and hockey was at High School so was rugby and soccer was at the rec centre. It was fun.

MY CAR

Last year Mr b give us a car project for school. I did a push power car .It had four wheels on it. My car was made out of cardboard. It was fun when we had the race on Fiday and we are having one on Wednesday.

OPENING CEREMONY

On Monday the 29-10-12 we opened the multi-purpose room. The name of the Multi-purpose is Aniwaniwa because is is the name of the rainbow and because people came from different countries.

THE KAPA HAKA FESTIVAL.

On the 8th of November Room 3 and 4 are going to the Kapa Haka festival. The song's' we are singsing are Pamia and E rona. The boy's are doing a haka it is called Poutini . The school's we are performing to are Lower Motueka south" Riwaka" St peter chanel " Brookelyn" Ngatimot " Salisbury" mapua" Pakarana.

THE DAY .

On the 8th of November room 3 and 4 had the Kapa Haka festival in the Memorial hall. It was cool. My favourite one was room 3 and 4's and room 1 and 2 . My favourite song was E rona . After us was Salisbury. And we had a special school the school was the kindergarten they did a good job.
